The Foundation provided a grant for the purchases of Playaway Audiobooks. Fourth grade students at Bloomer Elementary School can easily access quality literature through Playaways, which are pre-loaded audiobooks. The Playaways are used to promote listening and comprehension skills. To build excitement around literacy, students can earn a small prize when finishing their Playaways.
"Playaway audiobooks have created excitement for our students by allowing them a new way to expand their literacy skills. Through the audiobooks, students can be exposed to new vocabulary, strengthen their comprehension and listening skills, and develop a love for literature."
